 COMPLETING THE CGP APPLICATION

CGP IS PLEASED THAT YOU ARE APPLYING FOR ONE OF OUR INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS:

 

All applicants will be notified as quickly as possible of acceptance.  Those accepted for a CGP international program will receive; 1: a document “Preparing for Your Stay in Guangxi Autonomous Region, South China 2003”, 2: information concerning orientations, 3:  passports and visas information and forms for, 4: International Repatriation and medical evacuation insurance for, 5: and related travel information.

This form must be accompanied by the following to complete your application:

·         Fiscal Arrangements: A deposit of $400; $300 will be returned if the program is cancelled. If you are not accepted into the program, it will be fully refunded. If you decide to drop out of the program, there will be a refund of $200. Make check or money order payable to Consultants for Global Programs. 

·         The deadline for your application and $400 deposit is

March 1, 2009; extra ordinary exceptions will be reviewed on an individual basis by a CGP panel.

·         Your full payment of $2,095 for the program must be made on or before May 1, 2009.

·         Statement of Responsibility, Release Form Liability and Authorization to Participate in Educational Abroad Programs.

·         Letter of Interest.

·         A one or two page resume with related references.

·         A signed International Programs Agreement Form:

CGP reserves the right to make changes, including the addition or cancellation of any portion of this program, as necessary, without prior notification to the participants.

General Information

 

Coverage: $2,095

                Your international travel covers you from San Francisco, CA, USA to Nanning, Guangxi, PR China and return. The program also covers you for internal Guangxi program travel, housing, repatriation insurance, some incidental fees, as well as a small stipend of 300 Chinese Yuan (7.2 to $1 US) The program does not cover you for domestic US travel, personal expenses and possible add on travel in China before or after the program.

 

Refund Policy After Full Payment is Made:

                Our refund policy on fees is as follows;

1)       From notification of acceptance until 21 days prior to departure: all but $200 will be refunded.

2)       20 days or less prior to departure through the last day of scheduled program: no refund.

*cancellation insurance may be available regarding trip insurance

Credit

                If you desire college/university credit for this program, you need to go to your admissions and/or registrar to see if there is a department on your campus that would be willing to review the program for credit, special topics, or individual study. CGP has no authority to provide credit, but is willing to provide necessary information to your University that might help in this matter. We can help provide the related school authorities with evaluations and other data needed to assume credit for teachers who desire in service credit or other types of credit for your contract. All participants that successfully complete this program will be given a certificate signed by CGP and the Guangxi Education Department and by their related administrators. NOTE: It is the participants responsibility to obtain all prior agreements concerning transfer credits at their home University or College before the program begins. This is also true for teachers, they must obtain prior agreement from their school district for personnel credit for this program.

 

Individual Programs

                CGP is willing to work with participants to help provide additional teaching experiences and/or add on travel in China. We will help make necessary contacts, but will not be responsible for either additional teaching or add on travel. We are not travel agents or teacher hiring agents in China, but we can assist you.

 

Final note of general needs

                If you are selected for the program, you will need the following health requirements:

1)       A statement from your doctor stating you are in good health prior to departure.

2)       Health insurance that will cover you for emergencies, illness, or injury.

3)       A current Tetanus booster and Gamma Globulin for Hepatitis “A” at least two weeks before you leave. (Hepatitis “B” is optional)
