






USA - India Exchange
Cooperative exchange program between Dev Samaj College for Women and other related colleges (3 other possible colleges) for short-term intensive language, culture and travel program, bringing students to Eureka/Arcata with the possibility of exchange to Ferozepur, Punjab, India next summer 2011. Dev Samaj College is located in the border town of Punjab/Pakistan, Ferozepur in the Northwest region of India.
Highlights:
•Post-secondary level education

•Dates: June 14, 2010-July 18, 2010 (includes travel time)
•Possible college/university credit
•Cost: $2,900 (excluding $1,500 travel costs from San Francisco, CA)
•Deadline: May 14, 2010
For students from India, students will primarily engage in educational studies, multicultural social science experiences and cultural experiences as well as related travel and excursions
Obtain insight into social, political and economic problems of our Northcoast, CA region
Enjoy activities such as: the Redwood National Park, Six main rivers as compared to Punjab’s five rivers, visit Indian forestry, fishing, lumber and related resources museums, outings in Humboldt Bay in conjunction with the related coastal Pacific Ocean
Visit historical sites
Home stay with cultural activities
Students will need a F1 U.S. visitor visa from the United States Embassy
