Educators and related professionals interested in Chinas relationships to anthropology, business, economics, education, ethnic studies, foreign language and social science and international study will find this program useful. Yangshuo, is a small city along the Li River near Guilin in Southern China is internationally known for its world famous natural landscape of karst natural peaks. With comfortable climate, ever green vegetation, abundant rivers and jade-like hills, it is reputed as the fairyland under heaven. Thus goes the famous saying: Guilin's Landscape tops those elsewhere, while Yangshuo's landscape tops that of Guilin. Its scenic spots include the Green Lotus Peak, Yangshuo Park, Silver Cave, Old Banyan Tree and Moon Hill. Each scene differs from another with its characteristics. Even the same scene varies with the change of the seasons and in different temperatures within the same day. Yangshuo is not only famous for its karst and clear water, but also for its indigenous cultural atmosphere. Its International Streets include Internet cafes, galleries, small shops and restaurants, selling souvenirs, andserving local dishes to the visitors useful to both its own population as well as international where English is spoken fluently. Consultants for Global Programs has been working in Guangxi, China since 1982. Southern China English Interactive Teaching Program is an ongoing Annual Program since 1993.
This program prepares the participant for second language and cross-cultural instruction through classroom teaching. The interactive teaching program includes local and regional tours in Guangxi, China, which is an international, scenic wonderland. No knowledge of Chinese language is necessary. Participants will be using comparative US and Chinese experiences as a mode of instruction, rather than formal English instruction; thus, creating an interactive teaching environment. CGPs Program exposes participants to Anthropology, Political and Social Sciences, Education, Business, Economics, Language Arts, Multicultural and Ethnic Studies as they relate to life in China.
Positions Available (depending on qualifications):
Includes 4,500 Yuan per month (725 U.S. dollars per month) for 4 lessons a day, 45 minutes each per week. Free housing with T.V., hot shower, telephone (Professors need to pay their own electricity, gas and telephone bills). Teachers will have weekends free as well as take part in school activities such as English Tea Time, English Corner and Movie Night.

Placements are available especially for Summer 2009 and Spring 2010 Semester for 3-6 months starting Spring 2009 through Spring 2010 Teaching Specifics:
Included in the $2,095 fee is International travel, Visa assistance, obtaining accommodations and other basic needs for your English College stay, international and repatriation and medical evacuation insurance, assistance and service and helping during the duration of the professional position.
