This program prepares the participant for second language and cross-cultural instruction through classroom teaching in a middle school setting. The17 day interactive teaching program includes local and regional tours in Guilin, China, which is an international, scenic wonderland. No knowledge of Chinese language is necessary. Participants will be using comparative US and Chinese experiences as a mode of instruction, rather than formal English instruction; thus, creating an interactive teaching environment. CGP’s Program exposes participants to Anthropology, Political and Social Sciences, Education, Business, Economics, Language Arts, Multicultural and Ethnic Studies as they relate to life in China.

English.

Transportation, Housing, Traveling, Employment, and Daily Life.

campus hotel or college guest house.
· Excursions:
Guilin, rural minority
counties, which include other scenic and historic sites
· Program
Includes: accommodations, meals, local transport, tours, and international
airfare from San Francisco, repatriation insurance, and escort coordinator.
Also, there is a 500 Yuan stipend.
· Activities:
3 hours of morning instruction and 1.5 hours in the afternoon, Monday
through Friday. And 1.5 hours of
evening English study (oral interactive), Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
